What is CDPAP?
Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP) – a NYS Medicaid funded program allows seniors & people with disabilities to select, train and direct their own caregivers, including family members and friends. Caregivers enrolled in the CDPAP program are not required to be certified or licensed. CDPAP providers do not confront the limitations that many home health aides do, such as, restrictions on administering medications, or insulin injections.
Your choice
CDPAP allows family members, with the exception of spouses, or friends to become paid caregivers. Caregivers are not required to have certification or licensing and can administer skilled services needed, such as injections. You may switch your caregiver at any time if you are not completely satisfied with the care he/she is providing. You decide who cares for you and with the hours that suit your needs.
Flexible schedule
CDPAP allows you to create a schedule that best suits your needs and lifestyle. You can allocate weekly hours on a flexible day-to-day basis, rather than following a daily schedule of hours set by a third party agency. The program ultimately provides consumers with controls that many take for granted.

We start off with an Introductory Call, our team is ready to answer any of your enrollment questions

In-Home Visits are scheduled so we can help you complete your enrollment paperwork

Medicaid & Insurance Evaluations are scheduled with the person receiving care. We assist by being available before, during and after the evaluation to answer any questions

Authorizations can be a waiting game, our team stays in touch with Medicaid and insurance representatives so you don’t have to

Have a nurse assessment to determine how many hours the Patient is eligible for. Most Home Care is covered through Medicaid.

Excellent service and white-glove treatment. It was very easy to schedule at-home PCR Covid testing. Adina, the kindest and sweetest nurse came to our house on New Years Day (wow!!) to administer the test. The administrative staff was extremely responsive and communicative throughout the whole process. Results were received within 48 hours, even over the holiday weekend, which is extremely impressive and unexpected. They really go above and beyond for their patients. Highly highly recommend.
